Safety Information
The Feelings Kit and all related materials are designed to support everyday emotional learning, communication, and regulation within families. Our tools help children explore their feelings in a safe, age‑appropriate way — but they are educational resources, not therapeutic interventions. They should never be used as a substitute for professional mental health care, diagnosis, or clinical treatment.
Our products are not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition, nor do we guarantee specific outcomes or behavioural changes. They are also not suitable for crisis intervention, trauma support, or situations involving complex or high‑risk mental health needs.
Every child is unique. Some children — including neurodivergent children or those with additional needs — may benefit from adapted strategies or specialist guidance. Parents and caregivers know their children best, and we encourage you to use your own judgment when choosing how and when to use our resources. All materials should be used with appropriate adult supervision and are not intended for independent use by children.
Our resources must not be used to assess, diagnose, or label a child’s mental health or developmental profile. Using TheFeelingsKit or reading our materials does not create a therapeutic, clinical, or professional relationship between you and TheFeelingsKit.
If your child is experiencing ongoing distress, behavioural changes, or emotional difficulties that are affecting daily life, we strongly recommend seeking support from your child’s GP or another qualified health professional. You may also find helpful guidance from trusted organisations such as the British Psychological Society, Young Minds, or NHS Mental Health Services. School staff, including teachers and SENCO teams, can also offer valuable insight and support.
Useful support services:
YoungMinds — information and support for children’s mental health: www.youngminds.org.uk
Childline — free, confidential support for children and young people: www.childline.org.uk
NHS Mental Health Services — guidance and access to local support: nhs.uk/mental-health
These organisations offer general advice and support but cannot replace personalised guidance from a qualified health professional.
#In an emergency, or if you are concerned about immediate risk, contact 111 (option 2) for urgent mental health support, or go directly to A&E.
By using our products, you acknowledge that they are educational tools and should be used with appropriate care, supervision, and discretion. Parents and caregivers are responsible for deciding whether our resources are suitable for their child, and TheFeelingsKit is not liable for decisions made based on the use of our products or information. Our content may be updated or revised over time as our resources evolve.
If you have any questions about using TheFeelingsKit or want further clarity on any of our materials, you can reach us at hello@thefeelingskit.com. You may also find helpful answers in the FAQ section of our website, which covers common questions from parents and caregivers.
